You have taken the first and most important step by seeking out help.
Hello! My name is Trudy Adler.
During our first session I will get to know a little about you, what is most important to you and discuss your goals. We will focus on identifying your strengths and helping you to maximize them to overcome obstacles. We will work together to sort through the things that are difficult right now, and I will offer you a safe place to be open and honest without fear of judgment. I have been described as supportive, caring, and compassionate, with a pretty good sense of humor, while also being “challengingly supportive” when needed.
I’d like to help you work on the struggles you are facing and offer you a safe place to explore your thoughts and feelings. If you struggle with or have a number of tough decisions to make, caregiving, navigating the health care system, grieving, your health and wellness journey, lack of energy or a variety of these kinds of challenges, I may be the right therapist for you. Through our work together and partnership with my support as a guide through the journey, you will be able to decide what choices makes the most sense for you to better enable you to reach your goals or work through current challenges.
Your journey will be driven by your desires and specific needs.
Our sessions will be about 50 minutes and will start with updates since our previous session, and review anything that you would like to discuss as priority. I utilize a strengths-based approach which typically uses tools that are readily available to you. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, while challenging you to reach your goals. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling life and to take the first steps towards a change. You are not alone! I am here to support and empower you on the journey. I look forward to partnering with you!

I enjoy exercise, including teaching a group exercise class and distance running. Recently, I have run two marathons and many half marathons. Early in life I began struggling with obesity which caused me to have lived experience regarding a weight management journey. Health and Wellness is now one of my personal passions. I also enjoy volunteering for organizations that I care about and in professional organizations that align with my long-term career goals. My top priority is my teenage daughter.
