Therapy Services Across Michigan
Heart and Mind Counseling
Life can feel overwhelming—especially when you’re navigating anxiety, trauma, or the emotional weight of a medical diagnosis. Whether you’re managing your own health, supporting a loved one, or trying to keep up with the demands of daily life, it can be a lot to carry on your own.
At Heart and Mind Counseling, we provide therapy services across Michigan through secure telehealth, with limited in-person availability when appropriate.
We specialize in supporting individuals navigating the intersection of emotional health and complex life or medical experiences—while also providing care for anxiety, trauma, ADHD, and life transitions.
All of our clinicians are licensed in Michigan, allowing us to provide consistent, high-quality care across the state.
When you reach out, you won’t get a call center—you’ll speak with a real person who can help guide you.
To get started, you can connect directly with Deb Benoit, our Practice Manager, at 904-896-4998 (call or text). She will help you find the right fit and ensure you feel supported from the very first step.

Supporting Mental Health Across Michigan’s Communities
Michigan is a diverse and evolving state—shaped by strong industries, leading medical institutions, and vibrant academic communities. Each environment brings its own pace, pressures, and expectations, and we understand how deeply those factors can impact mental health.
Automotive, Manufacturing, and Corporate Environments (Detroit and Beyond)
In and around Detroit and throughout Southeast Michigan, many individuals work within the automotive and manufacturing sectors or in large corporate environments such as Rocket Mortgage. These roles often come with high expectations, long hours, and ongoing industry shifts.

In areas like Ann Arbor, we support individuals navigating high-performance environments, imposter syndrome, and cognitive overload, as well as those needing support with focus, organization, and anxiety.
Students, Universities, and State Systems (Lansing and Across Michigan)
Michigan is home to a wide network of universities and the state capital in Lansing.
We support individuals connected to institutions such as the University of Michigan, Michigan State University, Western Michigan University, Wayne State University, Grand Valley State University, Central Michigan University, and Oakland University.
We help individuals navigate academic pressure, burnout, life transitions, and ADHD-related challenges, along with the demands of state and public service roles.
Healthcare Systems and Medical Support Across Michigan
We regularly work with individuals receiving care through major health systems across Michigan, including those navigating chronic illness, cardiac care, transplant, and complex diagnoses.
Our specialization allows us to support both the emotional and practical realities of living within ongoing medical care.
Northern Michigan and Seasonal Living
We support individuals navigating seasonal changes, lifestyle transitions, and periods of isolation, as well as those who split time between Michigan and other states.
Rural Communities Across Michigan
In more rural areas, access to specialized care can be limited. Telehealth allows us to provide consistent, high-quality support regardless of location, offering privacy, accessibility, and continuity.
We also support clients in communities throughout Michigan, including areas such as Novi, Northville, Brighton, Rochester Hills, East Grand Rapids, and beyond.
How Telehealth Works
We provide secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth sessions across Michigan, allowing you to access care from home while maintaining consistency and flexibility.
Limited in-person sessions are available depending on clinician and location.

We aim to make this process simple and supportive.
We currently accept:
- PPO, EPO, and POS plans
- Medicare (Part A + B with supplemental plans)
- Many Medicare Advantage plans (varies)
- HMO plans in Michigan
